How it works

LilSips operates on a dry hire model due to the liquor laws in Minnesota. With dry hire, the client purchases and supplies all alcoholic beverages while we provides the staff, equipment, and service. This reduces the cost of the overall service because you only pay for labor and gear rather than the markup on alcohol.

We provide you with a complete alcohol shopping list after your event is booked and we complete your planning call.

  • You are in charge of purchasing and delivering the alcohol to the event location. Due to MN liquor laws we are unable to sell alcohol or individual beverages. Dry hire gives you benefits such as-

    • Cost savings on alcohol markup.

    • Control over brands and quantities purchased.

    • Flexibility to shop sales or use specific bottles you prefer.

  • Even though we need your help in getting the party started, we still provide everything else to ensure smooth sailing for your event including-

    • Experienced bartenders and responsible service.

    • Portable bar stations, cups, napkins, straws, mixers, bar menu(s), tools (shakers, muddler, wine key, etc.), and garnishes.

    • Coolers and ice transportation

    • Setup, cleanup, and waste removal.

    • Guidance on quantity estimates and a clear policy for leftover alcohol handling.
